Letter From Pastor Eric

What an exciting time to be a part of the life of Fellowship Church! I am thrilled to be leading us as we seek to hear God’s Word and live out His call for us. In my current teaching series, Blocks, we have identified the unique opportunities God presents to us for growth during periods of transition. I believe it is at this very time, in this place, together with this community, that we are positioned exactly as God would have us be to take full advantage of this opportunity. I believe one reason for Fellowship’s success is the presence of ELEVATE.

As many of you know, ELEVATE is a financial and spiritual investment in redefining church. Launched in 2008, ELEVATE has supported our vision and given us the opportunity to deepen our friendship with God. The successes we have enjoyed so far through ELEVATE have been truly remarkable. God has used this campaign to help us serve our church and community.

Of the many accomplishments we have been able to achieve through your generous support of ELEVATE, let me highlight just a few:

• International missions (Russia, Dominican Republic etc.)
• Local outreach efforts (Urban Promise, Camden, Enduring Faith, etc.)
• Improved adult and children’s worship experience at Garnet Valley Middle School
• Updated portability for greater functionality (new cases, trailer maintenance)
• Major renovations and improvements to our Bethel Road campus facilities

Through your generous support of ELEVATE, it is clear that we have been able to complete many projects we otherwise could not have undertaken, and have been able to maintain our focus on redefining church. We have been encouraged by the increased commitment made by so many of you to participate and serve together with us. As a result, we have clearly witnessed a surge in our spiritual growth at Fellowship. We are actually living differently and taking risks for God that He would have us take to advance His mission.

ELEVATE is a financial and spiritual investment in redefining church. Now in 2010, we are excited to be bringing renewed energy to ELEVATE. As we enter the final phase of ELEVATE, I ask you now to re-commit yourself to our Campaign. Pray for the continued success of ELEVATE. Ask God to further open your heart to new possibilities.

One of the writers of Scripture says this, “throw yourself into this work for Christ”.  This is our challenge as we work towards bringing ELEVATE to a successful conclusion. As you know, there have not been many examples in our world over the past year or two of investments that have increased in value or yielded positive results. Yet in God’s economy, I am convinced that ELEVATE stands apart from these and is surely a shining example to us all that when we invest our time, talent and treasure in God, we do indeed see positive results and it makes God’s heart race with joy! I invite you to be a part of that joy as we move ahead towards an excellent finish to our Campaign!

I am looking forward to joining together with our entire Fellowship community in a spirit of renewed support for ELEVATE. Greater things are not only yet to come for Fellowship Church, greater things are here!
