FAQs

  1. What is ELEVATE?
ELEVATE is a financial and spiritual investment in redefining church. It is a sacrificial call to participate in bringing the work of Fellowship Church to a new, greater level that reaches more people than ever before and motivates life change. ELEVATE is about honoring God through excellence in responding to His call.
  2. How did ELEVATE get started? How long will it last?
ELEVATE began in 2008 when Fellowship Church identified that NOW was the time to act on God’s call to us to take risks of faith in very real ways to bring His message to our community. We believe that not only has God promised that greater things are yet to come, we believe that greater things are here! That means making lots of investment in top technological and physical resources to help our professional and volunteer staff be in the best position to reach people. ELEVATE was envisioned as a 27-month campaign and will continue until September, 2010.
  3. How do I get involved?
There are a number of ways to get involved. First, pray for the success of ELEVATE and to discern your own calling in support of the campaign. Second, serve! Service is highly valued at Fellowship Church and we would love to have you participate as part of one of our volunteer teams. Third, be attentive to what our community needs and let us know. At Fellowship Church, we want to be a part of our community and we do want to be engaged! Finally, make a financial commitment to support ELEVATE. We are all living in a stressful economy, and while we can achieve a great deal with limited resources, our teams can do even more with first-rate tools and equipment!
  4. How do I contribute?
You may make a financial contribution to ELEVATE by completing a Commitment Card and sending that along with your payment to either our Office, or by dropping it into our ELEVATE contribution Drop Box at our Worship Service on Sunday. You may also contribute through our online giving tool found at www.fellowshiptoday.com. Thank you for your support!
  5. What if I previously made a Commitment that is not yet paid?
Thank you for your Commitment and your payments to date! We appreciate your support of ELEVATE and have great plans for the remainder of your Commitment. Remember, the sooner you are able to make your payments, the sooner we can put your investment to work in the church.
  6. Can I contribute other than financially?
Absolutely! We really love service at Fellowship Church, and if you are not able to commit financial support for ELEVATE, perhaps you can volunteer some time to help us with our work? We have lots of needs for just about any talent you may be willing to share – you won’t be bored!
  7. How and where can I see ELEVATE working?
Stop by our campus and see our renovated buildings and offices better equipped to serve! Or come inside to our new “Loft” to witness for yourself how a great environment can have a huge impact on reaching young people! Or visit our KidVenture program on Sunday morning to see how we reach kids through lots of engaging live performances enhanced by top caliber sound and lighting! Or visit our Worship service on Sunday at Garnet Valley Middle School Auditorium and see how we make “portable” church work! All of these are examples of ELEVATE working – now!
  8. What are the goals of ELEVATE?
Spiritually, ELEVATE seeks to raise people’s relationship with God to a more intimate level than where it may be today. Financially, ELEVATE seeks to raise $600,000 to invest in the tools, equipment, programs and people necessary to do this great work of God’s. Through both of these goals, ELEVATE seeks to redefine church!
  9. How will ELEVATE funds be used?
Because ELEVATE is a sacrificial investment campaign, funds will be used to purchase tools, equipment & fixtures, develop new programs and heighten our capacity to serve people in our community in ways that we could not otherwise afford. ELEVATE will provide the booster shot that will allow us to reach more people, in more ways, faster and with greater intention than would be possible using only regular sources of giving. Since regular tithes and offerings support ongoing operations, giving from other sources is needed if we are to establish a new plateau from which to serve. And of course, 10% of all funds raised will be paid directly to Missions.  Here is a list of our accomplishments and remaining goals.
